Family Therapy

Perhaps you are experiencing transitions in your family like divorce or loss. Or maybe your child is having trouble regulating emotions and it’s putting strain on your family. Or your family might need just a little support to strengthen relationships and create healthier patterns.

Family therapy can help.

I have helped families improve the parent-child bond (including infant-parent bond), helped caregivers resolve parenting-related conflicts, and supported families in improving family dynamics. I have also worked with divorce, marital conflict’s impacts on children, co-parenting, and supporting families when a child has an illness, mental health concern, or disability. I specialize in supporting families in which one or more family member has ADHD and/or other learning disabilities.

Family therapy with me is a nonjudgmental and exploratory space. We focus on leveraging strengths within each person and within the family to heal and deepen relationships. Working within attachment theory, therapy with me focuses on strengthening the bonds between family members. Family therapy with me is a supportive space where difficult conversations can happen safely so that we can get to the root of the issue.  Together, we can safely process anger, resentment, and pain so that you and your family members can turn toward each other with curiosity and warmth.

In our work, I also support family members in understanding and taking ownership of their impact on other family members. Together, we can slow down, build compassion for each other, and connect with our values as a compass while navigating challenges in relationships. I also make sure everyone has a voice and feels heard — both by me and by each other!
