About Me

My approach to my work is grounded in the value I place on relationships. In my personal life, I have worked hard to show up with integrity and vulnerability in my relationships, including in my romantic partnerships, my family, and my friendships. Relationships can be sources of pain, but also incredible healing. This is why the cornerstone of my work is to support people in navigating their relationships— including the relationship with the self.

I work with families because I have found that healing relationships between family members can change the course of people’s lives. Working with families naturally led me to working with romantic relationships. I am no stranger to the thrill of love, the pain of heartbreak, and the yearning of loneliness. Our romantic relationships (or the lack thereof) impact our sense of self and our ability to show up in our lives. Fortifying our romantic relationships has a healing impact that ripples throughout our work, play, spiritual practice, sense of self, and our other relationships.

I also love working with teens and adults individually. It is profoundly meaningful to support someone in dismantling or finding work-arounds to the barriers that keep them from living meaningfully.

Building strong and genuine relationships with my clients is at the core of working together successfully. I’m not that therapist who replies with the canned question: “how does that make you feel?“. Having done my own therapy, I know how vulnerable it is to sit in the other chair. Therapy with me is deeply attuned and caring. I attend to your experience and check in to see how therapy is feeling so we can feel as safe as possible as we work to create change in yourself and your life.

While therapy will focus on processing emotions, building insight, and understanding patterns, therapy with me is also goal-oriented. We work together to set goals, check on progress, and make sure we’re getting to the core of what’s going on. We look at thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, so that you can bring about actual change in your life and relationships. Together, we will co-create a gentle, yet courageous space where you can try new ways of relating.

I received my B.A. at the University of CA, Berkeley and my Psy.D. at The Wright Institute. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2015. I interact with people in a warm, kind, and attentive way. I like to spend my time with family and friends in the outdoors, often doing something active. If you’d like more information about my experience and training, visit my LinkedIn page.
